Here's some ideas for casual dates in Nottingham.
Chill at Blueprint Club
The club was changed to The Skyy Club at the time of the 'Acid house' revolution and for a period of seven years was at the hub of a burgeoning scene in Nottingham. Nottingham's infamous DiY sound system started there on a Tuesday night, Larry Heard (Mr. Fingers) played his first UK gig at the venue around 1993 and Asian Dub Foundation also played there long before they were famous.
We have our regulars who are there rain or shine, but as a music led venue it does depend to an extent on the type of music on the night. What I have noticed and enjoyed is the cross-pollination stimulated by the promoter's meetings and as different groups have met and got on now appear at each others nights. There have been occasions when it's been like a who's who of Nottingham club-land....Underground of course!!

Nightclubs are also known as a discotheques, or simply a club or disco. This is a type of entertainment venue which usually operates late into the night. A nightclub is generally distinguished from bars, pubs or taverns by the inclusion of a dance floor and a DJ booth or live music. If there is a DJ booth this is where a DJ plays recorded dance, hip hop, rock, reggae and pop music. THere is often a cover charge just to get in the door, or a specific number of drinks that you are required to buy. Most clubs or club nights cater to certain music genres, such as techno, house music, trance, heavy metal, garage, hip hop, salsa, dancehall, Drum and Bass, Dubstep or soca music. Many clubs also promote playing the Top 40 which has most of the night playing the most broadcast songs of the previous week. Many nightclubs choose who can enter, on bases other than just age, e.g. dress code and guest list. This is used to make their status as a nightclub more "exclusive".
